The driveshaft bolts were loosened off before the photo was taken. 11 of them
came out easily, one (the last one) required the intervention of an angle
grinder to remove the head. Once the bolt head was removed, and the
driveshaft withdrawn, the bolt tail came out by hand..... |

I have a "new" stainless downpipe for here.... |

Clutch fluid resevoir is awful, I have a new one to replace it. They fail
due to attack by UV light, so cover them in a black plastic bag or similar,
and they should be ok longterm. Or paint them black.... |

At last the dreaded Jamex springs are gone. |

I took the strut off, and the strut top mount just fell off...
Another example of the bad work that was previously inflicted
by the previous owners.... Grrrrrr!!!!!! |

All stripped down now. Just the wishbones and subframe to remove, and the
front rebuild can commence. I would have got those removed too, but my
jack gave up the ghost.... (needed to support the gearbox while the subframe
is off the car getting de-rusted..... |
